Searching the Inventory

To search the Inventory, you must first navigate to the any Inventory screen by clicking the "Inventory" button on the "main Menu" or "Management Functions" screens. At the bottom of the "Inventory Listing" screens, there is a search button. Click on this button to search the Inventory. On all of the "Inventory Details" tabs, there are "Search the Inventory " buttons which will also take you to the search screen.

The search screen lists all the information fields available on all types of items. Enter any information that you know about the item. Partial words or numbers are acceptable. The search is not a "smart search" and will not detect mis-spelled words or similar sounding words.

Search screenWhen you are ready, click on the large "Perform the Search" button. Do not use other "Find" functions at the bottom or side of the screen as these will not run appropriate scripts. You can run a search of only thse items which are in stock by clicking on the "Filter for Available Items" button at the top left of the screen. This will remove items for which the quantity is zero. If you do not wish to go on with the search, click on "Cancel". To quit the program, click on "Quit".

Performing the search will take you to a list of items that matched your search criteria. You can view any item by clicking on the "View" button, to indicate that you have used up some of the item, click view, then click on the "One Used Up" button on the detail screen. To exit click on the "Menu/Orders" button or the "View List" button.
